This biophilic lobby installation at The Warehouse reinterprets natural systems through modular architectural intervention. Drawing from biomorphic forms (Pattern #8) and complex structural organization (Pattern #10), the design translates organic growth and structural clarity into a cohesive spatial experience.
Two-foot-by-two-foot modular wall units feature curved cuts and concentric geometries that create layered visual and tactile fields. Inspired by Central New York native Red Oak and complemented by Hydrangea and Garnet tones, the material and color palette recreates natural textures across vertical and horizontal planes.
The intervention unifies walls, ceiling and floor into a continuous design language that guides circulation and encourages interaction. Radial alignments, shifting scales and flowing patterns enhance movement between floors while responding to human scale.
Through clay-based warm neutrals transitioning into mineral-based hues, the installation fosters an immersive environment that blends ecological storytelling with spatial rhythm-transforming a functional lobby into a sensory, nature-driven experience.
